That care worker to resident ratio for assisted living facilities varies based on what type of assisted living facility it is designated and licensed by the state of Texas as. Many of the rules setup by the state are very general and are continously being challenged and updated as new problems come about and are brought to the attention of the Department of Aging. I would need to know the type of facility it is designated as by the state to answer your question.

Because there is no set rules for some things criminal neglect and abuse in assisted living facilities tends to happen without the senior assisted living director's believing they have done anything wrong.

If it is a nursing home it becomes a completely different set of rules and regulations.
