East Texas has been known as the expert on quite a few activities and topics, from the Rose Capital of the World to the largest ATV mud bogging fun fest in the world right here on Mud Creek. Of course us old folks don’t want to get on a dangerous ATV but there is a wide selection of golf courses with various price ranges and amenities. Retirement living for the independent senior goes from several 5 star facilities such as the Cascades to independent living centers where nurses and care workers are on staff to assist to minor needs. Nursing homes, nationally ranked hospitals, fishing lakes, and senior community activity clubs with provided transportation keeps Tyler a great place to come and retire.

We can’t mention the Cascades enough when mentioning Tyler Texas as a great area to retire to. The Cascades is a large high rise condominium on a golf course and lake. The facility has just been built and is 3/4 sold. If you had to pick the best place in town to retire that would be the place. Much more development is in the works in this area in the form of retail centers, top quality restaurants, and medical facilities near by.
